App Reviews From Students Themselves:
Apple Clips is a very useful video making app. Made by Apple, there are plenty of ways to edit photos and videos on this app. From the endless variety of songs to choose from, to the animated stickers that you can use, Apple Clips provides resources which are not available in iMovie. It is relatively easy to use so people of any level can use this app.
-Sophie H. Quizlet is a very useful app and you can use it in multiple ways. You can create quizzes and teach yourself many things. You can also use other people's Quizlets to increase your knowledge in a subject area.
-Jonas P. Kahoot! Is a creative learning website used for review, lessons, and having fun. All you have to do is enter in questions and answers, and the fun begins. Anyone can participate in these using a generated Game Pin, but you must have an account to create one. It is free, all you have to do is enter your email.
-Luke N. Power School is an App that serves many education based functions, but is primarily used for grades at Ancillae. As your teachers put your grades in, they go straight to you so you can not only see how you are doing in a subject, but also how you did on an individual assignment. This helps give instant feedback to help know what you need improvement on. All in all, it greatly improves the student experience and I find it very useful.
-Liam H. Duolingo is a fun free app that is used to learn a completely new language. You can learn multiple languages at once or one at a time. It teaches you about different topics and words commonly used in that language. You can friend people and compete with them over how many points you earn.

Swift is a programming language created by Apple that is used to make apps for their devices. My observation is that "Swift" is very similar to Java, with a few tweaks to make it easier to learn and unique to Apple. The user has to download each lesson (which only takes about 2-5 minutes). I believe it teaches the material well and goes at a good pace. When the student has finished the lessons, they can go on and write their own codes using what they have learned. It is also a good stepping stone to learn Java coding language. However, one thing I noticed that they could improve is the lesson "levels". As of today, they only have beginner and intermediate challenges. I hope in the near future they add more challenging lessons.
-Franny P. Sketches Pro is a powerful app that allows you to draw, paint or sketch. It can be used for designing an idea for a project. This app would be helpful for teachers as well. Teachers can use the app by creating a drawing of a prototype, details, or explanation of a project. Students can also use this for free drawing and doodling. This would be a relaxing activity to destress during break or at home.
-Evelyn H. Union is an image blending, editing, and cropping tool that allows you to create anything with the photos you have. You will find that it is actually the easiest editorial app out there. Union is fun to use, simple, and always creates artistic designs.
-Luke N. OneNote is an app where you can make and manage different folders for different things. You can share folders and notebooks. In OneNote you can draw and type, you can take quizzes or do homework on OneNote. You can use OneNote on a computer or iPad and have it all saved! OneNote is better than other apps because it is more organized and easier to use.
